Pirates Below
An aquarium area with New Zealand’s largest tropical fresh-water aquaria and NZ’s largest marine coral aquaria – both teeming with a wide variety of fascinating fish. Kids love spotting Nemo the clownfish (and his dad Marlin) in the marine coral tank - darting in and out of the anemones - together with Dory and a host of other brilliantly coulourful fish species. The 9m long tropical freshwater aquria hosts a large collection of African cichlids as well as the carnivorous Giant Gourami (found in the butterfly house pond), the huge Pacu and a range of other fascinating species.
