Pacu

The pacu is a large South American fresh water fish related to the piranha family. It is primarily a plant feeder taking vegetation, seeds and debris although it will also take invertebrates and small fish on occasion. They have powerful jaws used to crush open seed capsules which fall from trees into the water in the Amazon flooded forests.
