Easter Fun at Butterfly Creek
Come along to Butterfly Creek this Easter weekend for lots of family fun! We are open across the whole Easter weekend, from Friday 29th March to Tuesday 2nd April, and we’ve got a fantastic lineup of activities to keep everyone entertained.
We’re kicking things off with our popular golden egg hunt, and you could be in with a chance to win some EGGcellent prizes. Plus, we’ve got Easter chicks and bunnies, daily animal encounters and our entertainers will be roaming the park with yummy easter egg giveaways.

Easter Bunny & Dinosaur Entertainers
Keep an eye out for our life-sized walking dinosaur exploring the park, as well as our dino keepers taking their baby dinos out – they love posing for photos, and hunting for eggs!
And look out for the Easter Bunny who will be visiting the park at select times throughout the weekend, handing out chocolate treats.
Golden Egg Hunt
Get ready to embark on our Golden Egg hunt – the Easter Bunny has hidden 9 golden eggs and needs your help finding them. Grab a quiz form on arrival, find all the eggs and then unscramble the mystery word to be in to win!
There are four Easter prize packs up for grabs.

Daily Animal Encounters
Don’t miss our free daily animal encounters! We have 9 encounters throughout the day for you to learn more about our animals. Be sure to attend New Zealand’s only saltwater crocodiles being fed at 1pm – it’s a spectacular show not to be missed!
