Driving Directions
If coming from the Southern motorway, take the signs to the airport 20A (Exit 449B), follow all the way to the airport and we are on the right-hand side before McDonald’s.
If coming from the South-western motorway or from Auckland city/North, take the signs to the airport 20A (Exit 9), follow all the way to the airport and turn left into Tom Pearce Drive. We are on the left-hand side past McDonald’s.
Public Transport
If coming from Manukau, Papatoetoe, Onehunga or Mangere take route 380 (the orange bus).
The Airbus express: If coming from Auckland central or a town on the direct route, you can take the Airbus Express.
It will drop you off at the airport terminals and we are a 10 minute walk from there.
Getting To and From Auckland Airport
To get to Butterfly Creek from the airport, you can catch the “Yellow Bus – Manawa Bay shuttle” that runs every 30 mins from the domestic and international terminals.
Or if you would prefer, it is an easy, flat 10 minute walk to Butterfly Creek.
Price: NZD$6.00 per person (+ 50c transaction fee). Children under 12 are free
Locations: Tickets can be purchased from ticket kiosks located at Auckland Airport Yellow Bus bus stop D. Also available for purchase at the Butterfly Creek & Treasure Island front offices, Manawa Bay, and select Yellow Bus hotel stops.
Superpass: NZD$32.00 (+90c transaction fee) per person: includes 10 trips over 48 hours. For travelling between any of the Yellow Bus hotels, Butterfly Creek, Treasure Island, Mānawa Bay, and Auckland Airport Terminals.
Accepted payment methods on Kiosks: Paywave, contactless credit/debit cards, digital wallets (e.g. Google Wallet, ApplePay). NO CASH ACCEPTED.
