Gigantic Holiday Fun for the Whole Family!
Step back in time and come face-to-face with huge animatronic dinosaurs at Dinosaur Kingdom, only at Butterfly Creek! With more dino’s than you will find anywhere in Auckland, come along and see these prehistoric giants roar and move, and on selected days, keep an eye out for our walking dinosaur as it roams the park.
But that’s not all—this Easter weekend, join the fun with our Golden Egg Hunt and meet the Easter Bunny as they hop by for a visit.

Golden Egg Hunt
Friday 18th April – Monday 21st April
Get ready to embark on our Golden Egg hunt over Easter Weekend (Friday 18th – Monday 21st April). The Easter Bunny has hidden 9 golden eggs and needs your help finding them. Grab a quiz form on arrival, find all the eggs and spell out the mystery word to be in to win! We’ve got two fabulous prize packs to be won, and winners will be drawn and contacted by 24th April 2025.
And while you are hunting for golden eggs, keep a look out for the Easter Bunny, who will be popping in throughout Easter Weekend with a few chocolate treats. Be sure to check out our entertainment calendar for times and dates.
Dinosaur Entertainers
Look out for our life-sized walking dinosaur, who will be wandering the park with his keeper on selected days.
Plus we will have our dinosaur keepers taking their baby dinos out – they love having their photo taken, so keep an eye out for them! Check the entertainment calendar for dates and times.
Hatching Chicks
Come along to Buttermilk Farm and see our hatching chicks and learn about the egg life cycle. Check out our eggs in the incubator, and the cute, newly hatched chicks, and if you are lucky you may even get to see one of the eggs hatch!
Meet our new calves, and get to feed some of the other friendly animals on the farm.
Masks and Art Activities
Enjoy some fun creative activities including dinosaur mask making and fun colouring activities. Plus create your own hatching egg – what will hatch out of yours!
And we’ve got face painting on both Fridays during the school holidays which is always a favourite with our guests.
