These school holidays, we’re going Wild About Eggs — and you’re invited to discover everything from colossal dinosaur eggs in Dinosaur Kingdom to real-life chicks hatching before your eyes.
We’re kicking things off with special Easter weekend surprises — and you might even spot the Easter Bunny handing out tasty treats. Take part in our Golden Egg Hunt, find the special golden eggs around the park, and be in to win some great easter prize packs.
Throughout the holidays, explore the fascinating journey from egg to extraordinary as you learn about the butterfly life cycle, and uncover how reptiles, kiwi and even prehistoric giants all begin life in the same remarkable way.

Join our Golden Egg Hunt
Be in to win with our Golden Egg hunt over Easter Weekend. From Friday 3rd – Mon 6th April you can join our egg hunt and be in to win some fab prizes. The Easter Bunny has hidden 9 golden eggs around Butterfly Creek, and you need to find them and then work out what the letters on each egg spell. Pick up an entry from from the gift shop when you arrive, and once you’ve found the mystery word, pop your entry form into the entry box in the foyer. We’ve got 2 prize packs to be won, so make sure you are in the draw!
Amazing Live Hatching Eggs
Head over to Buttermilk Farm these holidays and learn all about the chicken and the egg life cycle. Get to see our eggs in incubation, our recently hatched chicks and if you are lucky you may even get to watch one of little chickens hatch.
Plus learn about chicken development, and “candling” so we check on the health of our chicks and eggs before they hatch!

Face Painting Fun
Kids will have a blast getting their faces painted at our special face painting sessions during the holidays.
Choose to become a brilliant butterfly, a roarsome dinosaur, or see where your imagination takes you. Check the calendar for session times.
Arts & Crafts
Get creative these school holidays with our fun egg-themed activities! Kids can enjoy our dino and chicken egg surprise, learn about the butterfly life cycle, or enjoy some of our other colouring and activities
Meet our Walking Dino
Look out for our life-sized walking dinosaur, who will be walking around the park with his keeper on selected days over the holidays.
Plus we will have our dinosaur keepers taking their baby dinos out – they love having their photo taken, so keep an eye out for them!
