Dinosaur Kingdom features an amazing display of 50+ dinosaurs including life-size animatronic dinosaurs that roar and move. Many, including the ankylosaurs, T-Rex, hypsilophodonts and 25m tall sauropod, are representative of the dinosaurs that once roamed Zealandia during the Cretaceous period around 68 million years ago.
Our Discovering Dinosaurs resources have been designed with primary aged children in mind but many of the activities are suitable for all ages.
Our interactive choice boards support curriculum planning by providing activity ideas for several learning areas whilst promoting key competencies. They could also be used by tamariki in an online classroom environment to assist with independent learning.
The Dinosaur Fact Files profile some of the most popular dinosaur models we have on display. They could be used as an example of how students could present their own dinosaur research.
The Prehistoric New Zealand resource provides an overview of New Zealand’s ancient history, describing some of the prehistoric creatures that once roamed, flew and swam in our forests, skies and seas. It includes a colourful geological timeline.
We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to share examples of how useful these resources have been. Please feel free to email us at [email protected] with any feedback, suggestions, or photos of your children’s work.
